Paint Stick American Flag

Looking for an easy patriotic DIY? This paint stick American flag is super easy and looks adorable!

The supply list is pretty simple. I found these paint sticks at Lowes but I am sure lots of places have them. I used 7 full sticks for the flag and then I cut 2 paint sticks the length of the back of the flag to hold them all together.

A napkin is what was used for the stars and clothesline was used for the hanger.
First step is to paint the sticks alternating the red and white. Apple Barrel paint in the color white and bright red is what was used. Quick tip: Do not paint the corner of the paint sticks where the stars will be.

Most napkins have a two ply or three ply. This one had a three ply and separated easily. Once everything is complete, lay all the painted pieces in order facing down. Hot glue the two cut pieces to the back of the flag. This will hold all the pieces together. Cut the square of stars and Mod Podge onto the paint sticks.
Hot glue the clothes line to the back whatever length that you choose. The one shown was about 10 inches.
I had some patriotic ribbon from Walmart so a messy bow was in order. How cute did this come out?
So super easy and kid friendly as well. Have a wonderful Independence Day!
Blessings to you and yours,
Vicki
