DIY Firecrackers

The beginning of summer. Longer days and warmer nights, fire flies twinkling over the hillside. The smell of burgers on the grill during back yard barbecues with ice cold watermelon and lemonade. The children wide eyed and excited as their sparklers streak across the backdrop of night.
The land that I love. Home of the free because of the brave. It is also a time of reflection for all those who made freedom, free. Sacrifices and even the ultimate, so that we as Americans can enjoy living in a country to be anything we want to be. We are truly blessed to live in the USA!
These adorable firecrackers may not be bursting into air but they will sure make quite the statement on a tiered tray or mantle. These are so fun and simple to make.
Here is what you need:
Blocks of scrap wood or the blocks found in the molding aisle.
Red/white/blue paint
Clothesline in white
Patriotic ribbon
Hot glue gun
Painters tape
Lighter
