Welcome to my garden sweet bumblebees

How cute are these bumble bees? Can you even believe these are from wood doll bodies?
Here is the supply list to make some of your own:
Wood doll forms-Amazon (ref link) https://amzn.to/449Hjjf
Raffia (creative twist) – Amazon (ref link) https://amzn.to/3Qj3CNv
Apple Barrel Paint – Black & Golden Sunset, White- Walmart
Rusty Wire-Amazon (ref link) https://amzn.to/3W8cnxN
Twine-Dollar Tree
Barbecue Skewer-Walmart or Dollar Tree
Drill bit & Hot Glue

Here are the wood doll bodies.

Paint the entire wood doll body with the golden sunset. Then paint the black strips. These are personal preference of how big you want these. Paint the barbecue skewers black.

Open the raffia and cut about 4 inches. This will be the wings. Tie in the middle with a piece of twine. Hot glue the wings onto the top of the bumble bees. Fold the wings in half (long ways) and cut at an angle. This will make them look more like wings.

Drill a hole in the end of the wood for the stinger and also two holes on the top of his head. Also drill one under the belly to hot glue the barbecue skewer in place.

Twist the wire to create little loops for the antennas and for the stinger. For the eyes, I took a sharp tool and dipped into the white paint for the eyes.

How cute are these in these lavender pots? I did this whole tutorial over on my facebook page at Southern Crossroads Creations – https://www.facebook.com/southerncrossroadscreations/videos/1174339883703916/
