Christmas Stencil Ideas

Who doesn’t love a sweet VW Bug for Christmas? If your looking for a teacher’s gift or a cute tiered tray sign, then this is it! Just a few supplies and you can make this.

First thing you will need is a scrap piece of wood. The one that I used to make this is a 1x4x6. Any home improvement store sells these 1×4 and they come in 6, 8, 10, 12 foot pieces. Most of these stores will also offer to cut it for you if you want to have several pieces for later projects. The stain that I used on this piece is Minwax Classic Gray.

Ya’ll! These fabulous re-useable stencils came from Hobby Lobby made by Martha Stewart. How cute is that VW Bug that we will be making?

Next choose your paint colors. These are the ones that used. Any acrylic paint will work!

Here is where you can choose whether you want a bow or not. I chose to make one out of this cute ribbon. I just love how it brought the whole thing together.

The final step was to add some snow to the bottom of the sign. This adds an unexpected surprise! Use Mod Podge to add the snow. Use a paintbrush to apply the Mod Podge and then sprinkle the snow on to it. It will dry clear.
That is it! So easy but so cute. Comment and let me know if you try this.
Thank you for following along. I appreciate you being here.
Blessings,
