Patriotic Uncle Sam Craft Idea for Kids & Adults

How adorable is this version of Uncle Sam? This is such a great adult or kid craft with just a few supplies!

Supply List:
9 Popsicle sticks – felt stars (these are from a placemat from Hobby Lobby that I cut off) – a half bead for the nose – red, white and blue paint – a mop from Dollar Tree and hot glue gun.

Paint 7 sticks alternating colors and let dry. Cut mop strings off of mop. Mine are about 10 inches in length. I used about 12 pieces to create his beard.
Place 6 sticks face down in the order of alternating colors. Take the other 2 sticks and cut to fit across the back of the 6 sticks. Hot glue one at the top and one at the bottom. This will hold all the sticks in place. Turn right side up and hot glue the last stick across all 6 sticks for the brim of the hat. Hot glue the felt stars on the brim.
Hot glue the mop strings to the back of the hat and then hot glue the half bead to the beard for his nose.
You are done! How cute is he? I hope that you will try this and I would love for you to email me a picture! If you haven’t joined my email list, please do so. I don’t send spam emails. Emails only go out when there is a new craft blog post like this one so that you are the first to know.
Blessings to you and your!
